New Location. New Book.
The Still House +The Veda Den
“Some places are built. Others stand still in time.”
The Still House rests upon a single, gracious acre—small enough to be taken in wholly, large enough to retreat to without remorse. A 1927 Pennsylvania Bluestone Colonial in Lancaster County, where the same stone that clads the exterior anchors the floor-to-ceiling fireplace inside. The Cocalico Creek runs at the edge of the property, audible from the backyard before you see it. A pond, fountain at its center, catches the light from the road. Original hardwood floors, a sunburst fanlight above the arched front door, cast iron radiators, a crystal chandelier in the formal dining room, French doors flanking the living room — and beyond the deep yard, the open farmland of Lancaster County stretching out to meet the sky.
The Still House — a boutique bed and breakfast and the permanent residence of The Veda Den wellness studio, is coming to Lancaster County in the heart of Amish country farmland.
We are currently in renovation mode...
Both The Still House B&B and The Veda Den studio — dedicated spaces for meditation, yoga, sound healing, and teacher trainings — are being thoughtfully restored and reimagined within these walls. The work is deliberate. The intention behind it more so.
For those already wondering how to get here: Lancaster City is twenty minutes south. Philadelphia is an hour on the Turnpike. Baltimore is an hour and a half down I-83. And for those arriving from New York — whether through the Lincoln Tunnel onto the Jersey Turnpike or through the Holland Tunnel toward the Pennsylvania border — you are roughly two and a half hours from a mini-retreat with a stone house, pond, a creek you can hear before you see it, and a stillness that is genuinely hard to find this close to everywhere you just came from.
More to come — and it will be worth the wait.
Now, more on the new book!
I wrote a novella!!! (In a celebratory voice). It only took five years….On Still Grounds is a powerful work of visionary literary fiction that explores the intersection of identity, spirituality, healing, and self-realization through the transformative journey of one woman seeking freedom beyond the limitations imposed by society and the mind.
